Message from the LLCAG President
Welcome to 2025 from the Lower Lake Community Action Group. As we move into a new era of Community support your input and involvement will be greatly appreciated.
Our main events for 2025 will be as always, starting the year with our Crab Cioppino Feast, and what a feast it is! Our primary fundraiser for our Scholarship program that assists the young adults of our community to have a start with their future.
Spring brings us into May and our Famous Lower Lake Daze Parade and Street Fair. This will always take place on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend kicking off summer with fanfare. Lower Lake Community Action Group proudly holds for the past few years, the distinct honor of our Lower Lake Daze being noted as one of the top 10 destinations for Memorial Day weekend.
Christmas season is our time to really give back to the community with Lower Lake Holidaze. Our street fair in the first part of December where Santa and Kids come together with gifts and prizes. The street fair provides a wonderful opportunity for vendors to show their wares and the public to support the talent of our community. This is a very heartfelt event for Lower Lake Community Action Group and all involved, our gift back with the remembrance of small town, old fashioned holiday atmosphere.
These are our main events but certainly not our only community contribution. As we move forward in the year, monthly dinners will be brought back with regularity when, of course, we won’t have conflicting events. Guest speakers will be highlighted with issues of importance to our community at these dinners, a valuable resource for Lower Lake and the surrounding area.
New and exciting directions for 2025 are in the works. We have plans for spring / summer events at Russell Rustici Lower Lake Park as well as the Brick Hall on Main Street. We would like to work closely with the Lower Lake Merchants, encouraging them to be involved with the LLCAG to promote their businesses and support the community as part of the decision making process for the future of Lower Lake. We will be exploring the promotion of Lower Lake with Travel and Destination locations. We are full of beautiful wineries, Lower Lake Schoolhouse Museum, our Historic one- room jail house, an amazing place called Anderson Marsh State Park, Mt. Konocti right next door and so much more.
We will have some exciting announcements in the beginning of 2025 so stay tuned and informed via our Website and Facebook page.
I certainly appreciate all the support we receive from our wonderful community and most important all of this would not be possible without the dedication and team work from the LLCAG officers and board members. Bill Diener Vice President; Karen Suenram Treasurer; Danielle Besgrove Secretary and our board members Mike Salter; Sharon Schmidt; Becky Salato and Verna Rodgers. In addition we have priceless contributions from Ginger Kite and Mary Ann Doud, both very appreciated.
Sincerely,
Teresa Harborth
